Your child will thrive in our natural environment
Our kindy programs deliver the Queensland Government Kindergarten Curriculum by our tertiary trained Early Childhood Teachers, while younger age groups are nurtured by qualified and experienced educational professionals in caring environments with age-appropriate resources.
We recognise that when it comes to your child, you are the expert. Our educators rely on you to share with them your intimate knowledge of your child each day in order to provide care that is consistent with your home environment, and to develop a program that reflects an understanding of your child’s changing needs throughout their growth and development. Our experienced educators recognise that your baby’s routine is individual. Our flexible routines ensure that your child receives the individual care that they need, and the routine you have established at home for your child is respected and followed whenever possible.
Before / after school care
Acorn provides high-quality before and after school care to families. For your convenience, children are escorted to and collected from nominated schools on our daily school bus run. We believe that children must be given a chance to rest and have all the fun they want before or after school time. That is why we developed a wide range of well-planned fun activities for each child. Some of these educational activities include arts and crafts, cooking, drama, sports, science, and more.
Acorn holidays are heaps of fun. In recent times, our special guests during vacation care have enjoyed activities including sailing, stand up paddleboarding, and even farm visits. We publish our vacation-care program before the holidays so you can avoid the vacation juggle and know your children will be well cared for with a huge choice of activities and occasional excursions.
Overwhelming research shows that children who interact extensively with nature are better adjusted, show more mature behaviour, have advanced social skills and learn faster. We focus on exploratory, investigative learning, project investigations and allowing the children’s own interests to guide the learning experiences. We’re set up for adventure and discovery with a range of activities including climbing trees, worm farms, chickens to collect from and feed, loose parts play, sensory and messy play, collaborating with the local council and planting trees around Bundaberg, QLD, farm visits and Mon Repos turtle range program.
