Jessie Munzenberger

Manager

We are delighted to introduce Jessie Munzenberger, an unwavering advocate for children’s rights and the embodiment of quality care. With an unparalleled passion for fostering children’s growth and a profound respect for the reciprocal relationship between nature and play, Jessie is the inspired and passionate Manager for both Acorn Services.

Drawing from a grand 18-year journey in the Education and Care sector, Jessie’s expertise is a testament to her unwavering commitment. Her path has been diverse, spanning across a range of centres, advisory roles, and pivotal contributions in nurturing and mentoring emerging educators and staff.

A relocation to Bundaberg from Newcastle, NSW, in 2019, Jessie brings a fresh perspective and an unquenchable thirst for building meaningful partnerships. Her vision revolves around strengthening connections with families, caregivers, staff, and the vibrant local community of Bundaberg. Through these partnerships, she envisions a collaborative journey towards nurturing and cultivating the highest levels of care for your most cherished treasures—your children.

Jody Ritcher

Director and Educational Advisor
Acorn College

Jody is the Director of Acorn College and an experienced Educational Advisor with over 30 years of experience in the Education and Care sector. She has worked in various centres, including Family Daycare, and has trained and assessed students for the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Jody has mentored many educators and staff at Acorn and has been instrumental in achieving quality outcomes for our centres’ children, staff, students, and families so far.

As the Educational Advisor and Director of Acorn College, Jody will provide valuable insights into the best practices that support children’s well-being, learning, and development. She will inspire our staff to implement intentional teaching strategies and thoughtful practices that cater to children’s individual needs and interests while creating a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow. Jody will extend our staff’s skills and knowledge and foster creativity and innovation.

Jody envisions Acorn as a place where support and creativity thrive. She believes in working together to meet the requirements of Quality Area One, ensuring that our educational program and practices are child-centred, stimulating, and engaging. Her mission is to create and lead a team where everyone’s strengths are recognized and areas of improvement are nurtured, providing a clear direction for our organisation and its staff.

Glenn Dolinski

Educational Leader

lenn is the Nominated Supervisor/Director for Acorn Child Care Centre located on Branyan Street, Bundaberg West.

With nine years of experience, Glenn brings unwavering enthusiasm for the profession that is the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.

Through creating his vision of building successful leadership within the Centre, Glenn aims to inspire his Team with consistency and participation while striving to help the team facilitate greater outcomes for the Families of Acorn Child Care Centre.

Glenn firmly believes that leadership is not just a role but a core skill that all Educators, regardless of their position, should possess.

Promote the development of emotional intelligence within the Acorn educators, exercise effective communication strategies, and support Educators through a coaching style of leadership.

Glenn is committed to ensuring that Acorn serves as a deliberate model of professional and ethical practices, which are crucial in supporting the foundations of children’s learning and development.

You can often hear Glenn referencing the work and philosophies of Theorist Howard Gardner as he encourages us all to observe the multiple intelligences evident in all children and value them as individuals whilst seeking greater insights into their play, learning and developmental stages.

Heidi Charteris

Nominated Supervisor

With a remarkable 15-year journey shaping Acorn’s legacy, Heidi is a familiar and cherished figure within the Acorn Team. Her unwavering commitment and deep-rooted expertise have been pivotal in fostering the nurturing environment that Acorn is renowned for. Formerly stationed at our esteemed Branyan Street Centre, Heidi now takes the helm at Acorn East, assuming the pivotal role of Nominated Supervisor.

A determined in the realm of Child Care for a remarkable 25 years, Heidi’s extensive experience paints a portrait of growth and transformation within the sector. As she steps into her role at Acorn East, Heidi brings with her a treasure trove of insights and an unbridled passion for creating an atmosphere that mirrors a second home for the young minds entrusted to our care.

Heidi’s vision is simple yet profound – to curate an ambience that resonates with the warmth of home. Open-ended materials dot the landscape, offering children a canvas for their imagination to develop. Within these walls, possibilities are limitless, and the seeds of lifelong skills are sown. Heidi’s unique approach, fortified by decades of experience, fosters an environment where children not only learn but thrive, building a foundation that will serve them throughout their lives.
